Domestic and General, Wimbledon
State-of-the-art HQ for hybrid working
Domestic and General needed a new, cutting-edge headquarters building, equipped with the latest technology to support hybrid and collaborate working. The space needed to be well designed, flexible and inviting. We delivered a building designed with high-end workstations, attractive neighbourhoods, and breakout areas to promote productivity and well-being. At the same time, we re-engineered the space use, saving the business £2.7 m in leasing costs, around £830,000 in projected tax and 11% on the project costs from using our supply chain. Successful negotiations with the landlord also resulted in an upgrade of the communal areas, increasing the impact of the office space transformation.
Ark Data Centre, UK
Positive move to minimise impact on the environment
We developed a solution with Ark to move from using red diesel as a standby fuel, to Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil which has 90% less fossil carbon emissions, 28% less particulate content and 17% less NOx. We designed a process to achieve the switchover with no environmental impact, and without reducing the resilience of Ark’s infrastructure; a programme of works due to be complete by April 2022.
