Global real estate advisor, CBRE, has appointed Raj Somchand as Head of European Investment Banking. Somchand will assume his new role in early 2026.
Somchand brings a wealth of experience to CBRE, most recently serving over five years at JLL, where he held the position of Head of M&A and Equity Advisory. Prior to JLL, he co-founded Leon Partners, which was later acquired by HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler) and subsequently by JLL. Somchand's career also includes eight years spent at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and five years at Deloitte.
In this pivotal role, Somchand will spearhead CBRE's integrated real estate investment banking services across Europe. His main focus will be large, complex transactions, cross border deals and significant platform sales. Somchand’s deep expertise in real estate M&A and capital markets will be instrumental in further solidifying CBRE's market-leading position.
