CBRE has been awarded the Carer Confident Level 2 (Accomplished) benchmark. The accreditation, valid until 2028 reflects the company’s commitment to supporting working carers.
Judges were focused on criteria such as the organisation's commitment to supporting carers in the workplace by having a structured process in place, involving carers in policy development, and providing practical support and resources.
CBRE’s key initiatives to build a community of support for carers include Carers in the Workplace Community – a dedicated and inclusive space for carers to connect and support one another, a Carers Buddying Scheme and Shared Experiences – an initiative where carers can share stories to promote understanding within the workplace. Additionally, CBRE has a dedicated Carers Policy which offers an extra five days of paid leave for carers.
As this week marks National Carers Week, it felt like a fitting time to reflect on the work we have done in this space to ensure that every carer at CBRE feels valued, supported, and empowered to balance their professional and personal responsibilities.
The feedback from the report highlighted our well-presented narrative and strong supporting evidence, case studies showcasing meaningful impact, and uniformly high responses across all evaluation metrics.
