Major redevelopment on the 180,000 sq ft retail park.

CBRE Development Management undertook a major redevelopment on the 180,000 sq ft retail park to introduce a new large format 80,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s together with frontage modernisation to the retail terrace.
Initiatives include:
- Renegotiation of an outdated agreement for lease for a Sainsbury’s store on stilts which it no longer wished to occupy following a change of corporate strategy.
- Revised planning consent granted for a 80,000 sq ft store at grade with new car parking.
- Major redevelopment of part of the existing retail park with new highways junction completed in late 2023 with Sainsbury’s opening in early 2024.
- The redevelopment entailed significant infrastructure and highways works whilst the remainder of the retail park was fully operational.
- Alongside the new Sainsbury’s, retail frontages were modernised facilitating lettings to Hobbycraft and Pure Gym.
