First Build-to-Rent development in Bromley Town Centre.

CBRE Development Management was appointed by The John Lewis Partnership to lead the options analysis, feasibility study and planning application for its first Build-to-Rent development in Bromley Town Centre.

Working alongside Assael Architecture, the scheme will transform the existing brownfield Waitrose site into a vibrant residential-led mixed use development, delivering 353 rental homes, a modernised Waitrose store, new public piazza and improved public connectivity.

Following extensive public consultation, stakeholder engagement and a robust cultural and social value strategy, Resolution to Grant was secured in 2024, supported by a majority of positive local responses for the proposed tall buildings.

This project makes a significant contribution to Bromley’s housing supply and town centre regeneration, reinforcing CBRE’s expertise in navigating complex planning processes and delivering landmark developments.
