Virtus Data Centres
Consultancy to support Virtus' business strategy.
The Challenge
VIRTUS Data Centres, a private equity backed data centre operator in London, sought quarterly market reports and consultancy to form part of its business review process for its management team and investors.
CBRE was tasked with creating a bespoke London-market report for VIRTUS, updated quarterly, and presenting the information in a Q&A format to VIRTUS’ management team.
The Solution
The Result
Our market-leading research and time series of information, going back 15 years, allowed us to produce a bespoke set of data for VIRTUS in a regular and consistent manner, which allowed them to track the industry and execute strategic decisions as a result. The consultancy element allowed for a further deep-dive element to the process.

Star Capital
The Challenge
Our client was assessing the acquisition of a European data centre company. CBRE’s DCS Research team was appointed to advise STAR Capital Partners on the deal.
The Solution
We quickly provided both commercial and technical analysis. The scope of our remit included current and future market insight, risk analysis, competitor overview, target company business plan review, specific facility review, industry standards benchmarking, Q&A and final recommendations.
The Result
The client benefited from receiving this commercial and technical analysis in one report, from one team. STAR Capital partners subsequently acquired the target company and the shareholders have committed c.60 million Euro in growth capital.
