CBRE completed the sale of the Griffen Group UK Logistics portfolio, following a dual process between the Equity Placement and Investment teams. The portfolio, which was purchased by the Singaporean REIT of Ascendas, consisted of 26 logistics properties in eight core markets across the UK and totalled over 2,800,000 sq ft.
The combined approach between the Equity Placement and Investment Services teams, seeking both new equity partners as well as established investors, exemplifies the value add that CBRE provides its clients enabling the widest exposure to a range of capital and investor sources. The process identified a number of different transaction structures which, after analysis, resulted in the asset sale outperforming the then market benchmark and maximising the returns for Griffen Group for the portfolio.
