Central London in August 2021

  • Central London office take-up totalled 815,700 sq ft, rising by 63% month-on-month following a number of large pre-let deals.
  • Availability remained above the trend level at 26.7m sq ft, with the vacancy rate remaining largely stable at 9.4%.
  • Under offers increased above the market's 10-year average level (+16%), ending the month at 3.7m sq ft.
  • Investment transactions totalled £587m, bringing the year-to-date total to £5.3bn.
