The 2024 Charity Bike Ride will take place on Tuesday 25 June at Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher. There are three distances available to cater for all levels of ability and experience, which are designed to challenge the keenest riders.

Following completion of the ride, our event village will be open for participants, friends and family to enjoy. There will be refreshments, sports massages, a prize giving and a raffle.

What will my registration fee include?

  • Choice of 40km, 70km or 122km route (all supported by a professional cycling event company)

Date: Tuesday 25 June 2024

Entry fee: This year's entry fee is £100. Please note: the entry fee is non-refundable.

Ride Information

Distances: 40km, 70km and 122km.

Start times: You'll be provided with a start wave a month prior to the ride. As a guide, the 122km ride will start from 09:30 in waves of 100. The 70km ride will start from 10:30 in waves of 100 and the 40km ride will start at 11:30 in waves of 100.

Routes: The routes have been carefully planned however they are subject to change, including on the day of the event, due to road closures, accidents, weather and other unforeseen circumstances. The final routes will be fully signposted on the day, please follow the route signage carefully.

Pit stops: Complimentary refreshments and toilets will be available at pit stops on each route. Participants are required to bring a water bottle to refill at the stops. There are two pit stops on the 122km and one pit stop on the 70km route and 40km route. If you have any specific energy drink or supplement requirements, please ensure you bring these with you as these are not provided.


Rider numbers: All participants will be given their own individual rider number. Wearing the rider number is compulsory, safety pins and cable ties will be provided to attach your number to your jersey and bike handlebars.

Helmets: It is compulsory to wear a cycling helmet at all times whilst riding in the event. Any rider without a helmet on the day will be banned from participating.

Highway Code: All participants must comply with the Highway Code at all times.

Chipped timing: The event will be chip-timed. Riders will be provided with a timing chip at registration on the morning of the event. The timing chip is linked to a sensor at the start and finish of the event and will record each individual's time for completing the ride. Confirmation of final ride times will be available on the day through text message. Please ensure you include your correct mobile number when registering to receive your time.

Venue Information

Event venue: Sandown Park Racecourse, Portsmouth Road, Esher, Surrey KT10 9AJ (This is where the ride starts and finishes)

Car parking: There is sufficient, free-of-charge car parking at Sandown Park Racecourse for all participants, we do however encourage car-sharing where possible.

Facilities: There are plenty of toilets at Sandown Park Racecourse. Changing spaces will also be made available. Please note there are no showering facilities.
