Balance for Better on International Women’s Day

Balance for Better is the 2019 theme for International Women's Day (IWD) observed on March 8. Join us as we celebrate women who make a difference at CBRE and in their communities, and help us support future generations of women by acting to #BalanceforBetter on IWD.
Balance is not a women's issue, it's a business issue. The race is on for the gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage, a gender-balance of employees, more gender-balance in wealth, gender-balanced sports coverage. Gender balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive.

Collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender-balanced world is key. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender balance.

IWD, observed since the 1990s, is an annual day celebrated around the world to recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It's a day dedicated to empowering everyone to play a role in helping create a more gender inclusive world. IWD is widely recognised for its commitment to helping women achieve success, for challenging biases, promoting gender-balanced leadership and valuing women and men's contributions equally.
