Energy & Sustainability

What we do

Commercial property has a big impact on the environment, and as the world’s largest commercial real estate advisor, we know we have a big responsibility in environmental sustainability.

We are committed to minimising our global carbon footprint and that of our clients by reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Our network of Energy and Sustainability professionals work to achieve sizable sustainability goals for our clients.

Latest Legislation

The EU Energy Efficiency Directive aims to drive improvements in energy efficiency across the EU. Article 8 includes a requirement that all large enterprises undertake energy audits by 5 December 2015 and every four years thereafter. The UK Government has developed the Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and will affect up to 7,300 organisations. This CBRE briefing document provides the fact and figures surrounding this imminent piece of legislation.
